Objective To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of wire-reinforced polyurethramine epidural catheter in labor analgesia. Methods A total of 130 women who underwent painless delivery in the hospital from March 2016 to March 2019 were treated with epidural anesthesia. They were divided into experimental group(65 cases, using wire-reinforced type polyureaamine epidural catheter)and control group(65 patients, using a common epidural catheter)according to random sampling, compared the incidence of maternal adverse reactions in the two groups. Results There was no statistically significant difference in the rate of cerebrospinal fluid(0.0%)between the experimental group and the control group(3.1%)(χ^2=2.232,P>0.05).The bleeding rate after extubation in the experimental group(1.5%),catheterization long rate(0.0%),the rate of drug injection(1.5%),the rate of withdrawal(0.0%),the difficulty of catheterization(0.0%),and the rate of catheter disability(0.0%)were significantly lower than the control group 12.3%,7.7%,10.8%,13.8%,9.2%,7.7%(χ^2=9.633,5.342,8.121,10.652,8.201,5.342,P<0.05).Conclusion The use of wire-reinforced polyurethramine epidural catheter in painless delivery can have good analgesic effect and is beneficial to reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions. It has high safety and is worthy of widespread promotion and application in clinical practice.
