摘要
“游戏中/起效的价值”(VAP)是一种旨在帮助设计师有计划地把人文价值嵌合到电脑游戏中的设计方案和课题项目。VAP认为价值可以存在于电脑游戏的“语义结构”及其15个“游戏要素”中,其实现方式是基于含有三步骤的“启发法”——“发现”(包括价值定位和定义)、“实施”(把价值转译为游戏要素等)和“验证”(检验上述两个步骤的有效性)。VAP还创建了一套“课程”、“培植游戏”卡牌工具和若干游戏。对于“为什么游戏要素是15个?”、“强迫玩家做出符合价值的行为是否有效?”和缺乏哲学论证和解释等问题,当前研究还存在着不足。不过这些局限却也指明了今后的研究方向。
Values at Play(VAP)is a design and research project aiming to help designers to intentionally integrate human values into computer games.VAP believes that values can exist in the“semantic architecture”and its 15“game elements”and the way of realization is based on the“heuristic”containing three steps—“discovery”(including the locating and defining of values),“implementation”(translating values into game elements and so on)and“verification”(verifying the validity of the above two steps).VAP also creates a“curriculum”,“Grow-a-Game”tool and several games.As to the problems such as“Why are 15 game elements?”,“Is it effective to force players to perform behaviors according with values?”and the deficiency of philosophical argumentation and interpretation,current research still has limitations.But these limitations also indicate the directions of future research.
