摘要
“五四运动”从发生之日起不断遭到来自自由主义、文化及政治保守主义、激进主义、民族主义等阵营的指摘、批判。尤其是20世纪90年代以来,斥责“五四运动”造成中华文化传统断裂甚至“文革”的极端化倾向,严重影响了人们对其历史意义与时代价值的理解和肯定。“五四运动”最根本的启蒙在于促使人民走出对西方资本主义制度、思想的盲目相信和对帝国主义的乐观幻想,标志着中国人民在政治思想上彻底醒悟,并开始接受马克思主义科学理论的指导,走上争取民族独立和复兴之路。
The May 4th Movement has been attacked by liberalism,cultural and political conservatism,radicalism,nationalism and other camps since its inception.Especially since the 1990s,some have argued that it led to the rupture of Chinese cultural tradition and even its“revolution”.Such an extreme tendency has seriously affected people’s understanding and affirmation of its historical significance and time value.The most fundamental enlightenment of the May 4th Movement was to help Chinese get out of their blind belief in the western capitalist system and ideology,as well as their optimistic fantasy of imperialism.It marked the awakening of the Chinese people in political thought,and their accepting the guidance of Marxist,with which,they started striving for national independence and rejuvenation.
