摘要
Objective: To explore the mental health state and personality characteristics and their relationship in juvenile delinquents. Methods: Symptom Checklist 90 (SCL-90) and Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ) were administered to 240 juvenile delinquents and 240 normal controls. Results: All factor scores of SCL-90 in juvenile delinquents were significantly higher than that of the controls. The delinquent group got significantly higher scores of Neuroticism (N) and Psychoticism (P) subscales of EPQ and lower score of Extroversion (E) subscale of EPQ than the control group. The N score of EPQ was positively related with all factors of SCL-90. There were negative relationships between both E and L scores of EPQ and most factors of SCL-90 in juvenile delinquents .Conclusion: The mental health of juvenile delinquents was poor, and showed some personality deviation.
