建阳刻书业以其悠久的历史、辉煌的成就,在促进福建文化教育事业繁荣、中华文化发展和传播等方面,做出了重要的贡献,产生了巨大的影响。这种影响,又由于投身于这个行业的各界人士以及图书自身的传播力量,而辐射八闽,影响全国,传播亚欧而融入海上丝绸之路,成为其中经济、文化和商贸活动的重要组成部分。
With its long history and splendid achievements, Jianyang book engravement industry had made an important contribution to and exerted a significant impact on the prosperity of the culture and education in Fujian province and the development and dissemination of Chinese culture. Owing to such influence, the dedication made by the people involved in this industry, and the spread of the book itself, Jianyang book engravement industry had influenced the Fujian province greatly and even the whole nation. The book engravement industry of Jianyang has cast influence on Asia and Europe and has even played a role in the “Marine Silk Road”, making Jianyang an important part of the economy, culture and trade.
