Objective: To investigate the clinical effect of hysteroscopic electrotomy combined with levonorgestrel intrauterine sustained release system in the treatment of endometrial polyp. Method: A total of 72 cases of patients with endometrial polyp treated in our hospital were divided into the combined group and the control group according to the order of admission, with 36 cases in each group. All patients were treated with hysteroscopic electrotomy, and the combined group treated with the levonorgestrel intrauterine sustained release system on this basis. The thickness of endometrium before and 12 months after treatment, complication rate and recurrence rate were compared between the two groups. Result: At 12 months after treatment, the thickness of endometrium of the combined group was significantly lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The complication rate and recurrence rate in the combined group were 13.89% and 2.78%, respectively, which were significantly lower than 38.89% and 16.67% in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: Hysteroscopic electrotomy combined with levonorgestrel intrauterine sustained release system is effective in treating endometrial polyps, which can effectively improve endometrium thickness, and reduce complications and reduce the risk of disease recurrence.
