摘要
通过探讨《弗洛斯河上的磨坊》中特里夫一家对知识的认知与态度,探究19世纪上半叶,面对工业资本主义对乡村的不断蚕食,行将没落的乡绅的挣扎与自救。他们力图使用表征工业资本主义的知识强大自己,进而徒劳地与工业资本主义抗衡。特里夫一家在苦苦挣扎之时,仍然坚守着女性应当是温顺的家庭天使的知识观。这一种知识观对女性构成了无情的压制。
This article is to study knowledge recognition in Tulliver family in The Mill on the Floss,so as to explore how the landed gentry strives futilely to conduct self-help in the face of the invasion of industrial capitalism during the first half of the 19th century.They attempted to utilize knowledge representing the industrial capitalism to strengthen them so as to counterbalance industrial capitalism.Even in such a struggle,the Tulliver family still stick to the knowledge that female shall be the docile angel at home.This is a ruthless suppression of the female.
