Objective:To explore effects of respiratory special care on patients undergone thoracoscopic surgeries for lung cancer.Methods:86 patients, who underwent thoracoscopic surgeries, were selected and randomly divided into control group and study group with 43 cases in each. The control group underwent clinical routine nursing, while the study group was given the respiratory special care based on that of the control group. The pre-and post-nursing lung function indicators, postoperative complication rate and patient's Karnofsky performance status(KPS)score were used as the observation indicators and compared between the two groups. Results:After the nursing, the levels of FEV1,FVC,FEV1/FVC and other indexes of the study group were significantly higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The complication rate of the study group after the nursing was 2.33%,which was significantly lower than that of the control group of 18.60%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the KPS score between the two groups before the surgery(P>0.05);however,after the surgery, the KPS score of the study group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions:For the patients undergone thoracoscopic surgeries for lung cancer, the respiratory special care can effectively improve the lung function, reduce the postoperative complications and improve the quality of life.
