摘要
关于夏丏尊清末留学日本事迹,学术界一直扑朔迷离:或牵强附会,或语焉不详。笔者运用新发现的中日文资料考述并指出:夏丏尊1906年4月至1907年5月在日本宏文学院学习普通科;1907年9月至1908年5月在东京高等工业学校窑业科特别预科学习。1908年5月14日,夏丏尊应聘担任浙江两级师范学堂教育、心理、伦理等科通译助教;1908年10月,夏丏尊又应聘兼任浙江高等学堂教育、心理及图画科助教员。
Facts concerning Xia Mianzun’s studies in Japan in the late Qing dynasty have been bewildering, either far-fetched or vaguely mentioned, in academic circles. This work analyzed the new findings in Chinese and Japanese literature,indicating that, from April 1906 to May 1907, Xia Mianzun studied in the general department of Hirofomi School in Japan,and that, from September 1907 to May 1908, in Tokyo Higher Technical School for the special preparatory courses of kiln industry. It demonstrated that, on May 14, 1908, Xia Mianzun was employed by Zhejiang Dual Normal School as a assistant translator for education, psychology, ethics and other courses, and that, in October 1908, he got a part-time job as a teaching assistant in departments of education, psychology and drawing in Zhejiang Higher School.
