摘要
基于1989-2015年“中国健康与营养调查数据”(CHNS),采用分位数回归估计方法(QR),对比分析了职业高中教育和普通高中教育对中国农村居民减贫效果的作用差异。得到如下结论:从收入增长视角看,不管是职业高中教育还是普通高中教育,两者均能够有效地提高农村居民收入水平;从缩小收入差距视角看,职业高中教育和普通高中教育均能够缩小贫困与非贫困居民之间的收入差距,只是相比普通高中教育而言,职业高中教育缩小收入差距的效果更为明显。研究还进一步发现,职业高中教育和普通高中教育对农村居民减贫效果在区域与年龄方面存在显著的异质性。基于上述结果,提出农村居民减贫应该更加向职业教育倾斜的政策建议。
Using the micro-data of the China Health and Nutrition Survey (CHNS) from 1989 to 2015 and the quantile regression method, this paper empirically analyzes the difference in the effect of vocational and general high school education on rural poverty. Get the following conclusions: Generally from the perspective of income growth, both vocational and general high school education can effectively help increase the incomes of rural residents. From the perspective of the narrowing of income gap, both vocational and regular high school education can help narrow the income gap between the poor and non-poor residents, and the effect of vocational high school education on reducing the income gap is more evident than general high school education. The study further found that vocational high school education and ordinary high school education have significant heterogeneity in the poverty reduction effect of rural residents in terms of area and age. Based on the above analysis results, it is proposed that rural residents should be more inclined to the vocational education.
