摘要
利用2010—2015年的Terra/Aqua-MODIS,ENVISATASAR和RADARSAT-2等光学和SAR遥感数据开展了南海和苏禄海(103°~121°E,0°~23°N)内孤立波时空分布特征分析。根据内孤立波分布情况,将研究区域划分为4个子区域分别开展内孤立波时空分布特征分析。结果表明,南海北部海域,内孤立波主要在吕宋海峡附近海域产生,向西传播进入南海北部海域,该区域内孤立波主要发生在4—9月,占内孤立波总量的85%左右,其中在5月内孤立波发生频次最高。越南沿岸海域,内孤立波主要在南海大陆坡产生,向越南沿岸大陆架传播,该区域内孤立波也主要发生在4—9月,占内孤立波总量的90%左右,其中也在5月内孤立波发生频次最高,占内孤立波总量的20.1%。纳土纳群岛附近海域,内孤立波主要发生在3—4月,占内孤立波总量的56.8%左右,其中在4月内孤立波发生频次最高,其为32%;此外,本文还新发现了纳土纳群岛西部海域也有内孤立波发生。苏禄海一年四季均有内孤立波发生,在4月内孤立波发生频次最高,占内孤立波总量的18.2%;在1月探测到的内孤立波最少,仅占内孤立波总量的2.9%左右。
The characteristics of spatio-temporal distribution of the internal solitary waves in the South China Sea (103°~121°E, 0°~23°N) were analyzed with satellite images of Terra/Aqua-MODIS, ENVISAT ASAR and RADARSAT-2 from 2010 to 2015. The study area was divided into four main regions according to the distribution characteristics of the wave crest of the internal solitary waves. 1) In the northern South China Sea, the internal solitary waves were mainly generated in the Luzon Strait, and spread to the west into the northern South China Sea. The internal waves in this region mainly occurred from April to September, accounting for about 85% of the total counts, with the highest frequency in May. 2) In the coast of Vietnam, the internal solitary waves were mainly originated in the continental slope of the South China Sea, and spread to the west coast of Vietnam continental shelf. Most of the internal waves in this region also mainly occurred from April to September, accounting for about 90% of the total internal solitary waves. The occurrence frequency was highest in May, accounting for about 20.1% of the total counts. 3) Near the Natuna Islands, the internal solitary waves mainly occurred from March to April, accounting for about 56.8% of the total internal waves, and the highest frequency of 32% was found in April. In addition, the internal solitary waves were found for the first time in the west coast of Natuna Islands, which had not been reported in previous literatures. 4) In the Sulu Sea, the internal solitary waves occurred throughout the year, with the highest (lowest) frequency in April (January), accounting for 18.2%(2.9%) of the total internal solitary waves.
