摘要
数字化的语音信号具有非常巨大的数据量,语音信号的存储、传输和处理对计算机的性能、数据传输率和信道带宽提出极高的要求。解决此问题的一种方法是应用语音信号压缩技术,其重要分支之一是预测编码。这是一种较早用于信源编码的技术,利用信源的相关性对数据进行压缩。文章介绍了预测编码及两种相关的压缩方法:DPCM和ADPCM,并在Matlab中对它们进行仿真,对得到的结果进行分析后得到有关的结论,验证了ADPCM编码方法优于DPCM编码方法。
There is a very large amount of data in digitized speech signal.The storage,transmission and processing of speech signal will put forward very high requirements for computer performance,data transmission rate and channel bandwidth.One way to solve the problem is to apply speech signal compression technology,one of its important branches is predictive coding.This is an earlier technique for source coding,which uses the correlation of sources to compress data.The paper introduces predictive coding and two related compression methods including DPCM and ADPCM which were simulated in Matlab.After the analysis of the results,some conclusions are drawn,which verify that ADPCM coding method is superior to DPCM coding method.
