摘要
人工智能将对高等教育产生重大影响,高等教育必须迎接挑战,为人工智能革命做好准备,同时为学生提供必要的技能,以便使学生在人工智能时代更具竞争力。在考察了人工智能在高等教育教学的使用历史、发展趋势和潜力之后,提出了高等教育又到了需要变革的历史关头;然后,考察了新兴技术对学生学习方式以及高等教育方式变革影响的教育学意义,包括人工智能如何自动处理高等教育中的基本活动、人工智能如何改变我们传统的教学元素等等;还详细讨论了高等院校和学生在采用这些技术进行教学、学习、学生支持和管理方面所面临的一些挑战,并探讨了进一步的研究方向。
Artificial intelligence (AI) will be impacting higher education in a significant way. Higher education needs to rise to the challenge to prepare students for the AI revolution and equip students with the necessary skill sets to compete in the AI age. This paper explores the history, development trend and potential of the emergence of the use of artificial intelligence in teaching and learning in higher education. It then reviews the educational implications of emerging technologies on the way students learn and how higher education evolves, including how artificial intelligence automatically handles the basic activities in higher education and how artificial intelligence changes our traditional teaching elements. We also pinpoint some challenges for higher education and student learning in the adoption of these technologies for teaching, learning, student support, and administration and explore further directions for research.
