Ceramics, as the most representative art and crafts in China, has the highest auction price of all arts and crafts in all dynasties. In 2005, the blue and white ghost millet went down the hill, and in 2014, the Chenghua chicken bowl cup. The auction price of these works has refreshed the new high of Chinese arts and crafts. Although art is priceless, it is undoubtedly an international recognition of China’s arts and crafts and ceramics culture to use a huge price to locate China’s arts and crafts.China’s ceramic art is only the combination of clay and fire. Why is it more valuable in literature, history and collection than precious metal, gold and silver handicraft, fine silk and embroidery, and jade? This is because the decoration of ceramic works is integrated into Chinese literature, painting and calligraphy art, historical allusions and dramatic figures, so that a ceramic work has added value, and then the value of ceramic works has been sublimated. The so-called added value of ceramics is the value beyond use. The practicability of ancient ceramics is often greater than that of art department and ornamental. Ancient ceramics are almost daily-used ceramics. For example, plum bottles are wine bottles and chicken jars are wine cups. In the contemporary day-to-day porcelain is also skillfully combined with Chinese painting, so that artistic day-to-day porcelain becomes contemporary luxury products into the middle class family, so that more people can understand the ceramic art of Jingdezhen, China.
