摘要
近代中国留日学生人数多、规模大,对中国政治和社会变革影响深远,因而广受学界关注。考释近代中国留日运动的兴起时间、留日学生人数及其所学学科专业、分析留日热潮的原因、考察留日学生的爱国政治运动、探讨留日学生与中国社会变革之关系等,是中日学界关于留日学生与近代中国研究的焦点和主要内容。但是,这些研究成果存在“重清末轻民国”的倾向,以及中日学者彼此利用对方档案文献和研究成果不足、部分领域亟待细化和深入研究等缺憾。因此,在今后的研究中更需广泛搜集相关史料,充分关注中外学界成果,不断引入新的研究方法,从而推进留日学生与近代中国研究的高度、广度和深度。
In the history of modern China a significant number of Chinese students studied in Japan,and they had a profound impact on Chinese politics and society.Therefore,the study of Chinese students in Japan has become a widely concerned topic among academic circles.This paper examines the origins of the movement of studying in Japan,the number of students,and the distribution of the disciplines and majors that Chinese students chose.It also analyzes the reasons why to study in Japan had become a trend among Chinese students.Specifically,this paper examines the patriotic movements among these students and their impact on social transformations in China.Scholars in China and Japan have made fruitful achievements on studying this issue,but some problems remain,such as the tendency that scholars “emphasize the late Qing Dynasty over the Republican period” in studies,the insufficient use of archives from both countries and the lack of familiarities with scholarship on both sides,and the urgent need for detailed and in-depth study on certain topics.Therefore,we need to collect historical materials and archives extensively,follow Chinese and foreign scholarship attentively,and introduce new research methods constantly,so as to further the scope and depth of the study.
