The Cambridge Companion to Pushkin edited by Andrew Kahn, is a successful cooperation between European, American and Russian scholars in the field of Pushkin studies. It embodies a kind of academic pursuit of a fusion of Pushkin studies, integrating Pushkin studies in Russia with those in European American and Russian emigrant Slavic academic circles. It puts Pushkin in the context of literary and ideological history, explains Pushkin's writing from different perspectives of literature, art and culture, and carries out all-round and multi-angle analysis and observation of Pushkin, thus constitutes a "contextualized portrait" of Pushkin. The work shows the development of Pushkin studies all over the world.
