摘要
英国女作家简·奥斯汀通过深入观察英国社会各阶层女性的生活状况,撰写了小说《傲慢与偏见》,该作品用蒙太奇方式展现了维多利亚时期女性命运多舛的根源——“他者”地位。作为“他者”,她们处于社会的边缘地带,受尽人生百态的凄凉,其命运完全取决于“自我”的男性。对于大多数女性来说,婚姻不是比翼双飞爱情的延续,而是改变社会地位的有效手段。在既定的社会环境下,女性想走出“他者”的窘境,就必须提高自己的“他者”意识,并下决心改变自己的命运;在恋爱期间,女性要学会自尊、自立、自强、自爱。小说中的女主人公伊丽莎白正是这样的女性形象,她开辟了女权主义运动的先河,成为走出“他者”内在性的女性之楷模。
Jane Austin,the British women novelist,presented the destinies of women in flourishing Victorian Era with montage style by scrutinizing females’living conditions in various English Social Class.As“otherness”,they were on the edge of society and suffered a lot.Meantime,their fates were determined by male with“ego”.To most women,marriage was not based on love,but a means to make a living and become a number of the first class society.At that moment,a female would like to cross the immanence of“otherness”,she must improve her consciousness of“otherness”,set her teeth to master her fate,and be self-esteem,self reliance,self improvement,and self-love in the course of love.Elizabeth,as the representative of the females in the new era,as the pioneer of feminist movement,was an successful example of bridging the interior of otherness.
