摘要 随着社会的发展和时代的进步,全人教育及通识教育的重要性越来越得到人们的重视。外语专业也同样不能固步自封,如只将外语教学固定在其“交际工具”这一属性上,而是应该与时俱进,从学生本身成长和发展的角度出发,重视人文通识内容的传授,重视学生语言技能、心智水平及人文素养的培养,重视教学过程中的整体输入、整体互动及整体输出,这正是整体外语教育所倡导的核心理念,也是其对当今我国外语教学的重要启示。 With the development of society and the progress of the times,the importance of holistic education and general education has been paid more and more attention. Foreign language departments can not just stand still,and only fix foreign language teaching on its “communicative tools”. Instead,we should keep pace with the times,keep a close eye to the growth and development of students themselves,pay attention to the teaching of humanistic and general knowledge,attach importance to the cultivation of the students language skills,mental level and humanistic quality. And what s more,we should also pay attention to the overall input,overall interaction,and overall output in the teaching process. This is the core concept advocated by the overall foreign language education,and it is also an important inspiration for today s foreign language teaching.
