摘要
诗、词是中国古典文学中两种最重要的文体,也是中国文人最喜爱的两种文体。诗、词不仅是中国文人抒情达意的重要载体,还在中国古典小说篇章结构中充当了重要角色,具有九大修辞功能:一是以诗词开篇领起,可以先声夺人;二是以诗词收摄结篇,可以强化印象;三是以诗词写景烘托,可以创造意境;四是以诗词抒情寄慨,可以激发共鸣;五是以诗词评述议论,可以褒贬人事;五是以诗词描摹形貌,可以生动传神;六是以诗词规拟动作,可以吸引注意;八是以诗词消解情色,可使表达蕴藉优雅;九是以诗词错综其文,可以调适语言节奏。
Poetry and ci are the favorites of Chinese literati as well as two kinds of the most important styles in Chinese ancient literature. Not only are they an important vehicle for the literati to convey their feelings and ideas, but also they play an essential role in the textual construction of Chinese classical novels,in which they tend to perform nine rhetorical functions. Firstly,to arouse the readers’ interest when placed at the beginning as lead-in. Secondly,to highlight the impression when placed at the end. Thirdly,to create an artistic conception in depicting the scenery with them. Fourthly,to evoke an empathy in conveying feelings and emotions with them. Fifthly,to appraise persons and things in making comments with them. Sixthly,to produce a lifelike effect in portraying a person’s appearance with them. Seventhly,to catch people’ s attention by focusing on the action with them. Eighthly,to make the description implicit and elegant by minimizing the erotic shades with them. Lastly,to adjust the rhythms of language by varying different ways of expression with them.
