The contradiction between the characteristics of acute onset and fast change in children with immature immune function and the high expectation of guardians leads to the most sensitive and fragile doctorpatient relationship between pediatric patients and pediatricians.Children or guardians in China often lack medical knowledge or have asymmetric knowledge and information with professional medical staff, resulting in communication barriers or difficulties, which is one of the important factors causing doctor-patient contradictions. Therefore, educating children and guardians about medical health knowledge can improve their understanding of medicine and understand the medical activities of medical staff.Based on the practical experience of Children’s Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, this paper explores how pediatric students participate in health science popularization service with volunteerism, which not only promotes the harmony between doctors and patients, but also lays a humanistic foundation for becoming an excellent pediatrician.
