According to The Collection of Chinese Ethnic and Folk Dance: Volumn on Guangdong,it is believed that the first possible origin of Yingge dance is the music-dance of Confucius memorial ceremonies, but this is not the case.First of all, from the comparison of dance morphology between Yingge dance and the music-dance of Confucius memorial ceremonies,it can be seen that the similarity between the two is very low, because they have different styles of dance movements,as well as different shapes and connotations of props. Secondly, the background and theme of Yingge dance are completely different from those of Confucius memorial ceremonies, with different groups of people organizing and implementing the dance. In addition, the dissemination models of the two are also different.Yingge dance has been spread to Fujian,Taiwan and even Thailand by Yingge dance artists along with their folk activities, whereas Confucius memorial ceremonies have been introduced into North Korea,South Korea,Vietnam,Japan and other countries in the form of diplomatic gifts from Chinese to foreign courts. Therefore, based on the comprehensive analysis of dance ecology,it is found that there is little possibility for the music-dance of Confucius memorial ceremonies to directly evolve into Yingge dance. In conclusion,Yingge dance is mainly derived from martial arts and Nanquan techniques, and it does not originate from the music-dance of Confucius memorial ceremonies.
