摘要
利用我国首次进行的居民时间利用调查(CTUS)数据,以父母年龄在18-54岁间的双亲家庭为研究对象,测算了不同学历父母育儿时间的性别差异,并采用Tobit模型实证分析了父母育儿时间差异的影响因素及机制。研究发现:父母在育儿时间上存在显著的性别差异,育儿活动依然是母亲的“天职”;学历对父母育儿时间具有显著的正向效应,学历越高,其育儿时间投入则越多;分类型育儿活动来看,学历对父母在日常照料和教育互动两类育儿活动时间投入的影响效应截然相反,父母的学历越高,其日常照料时间越短而教育互动时间则越长,可见高学历父母更加重视子女的人力资本投资。
Based on the data of the first Resident Time Utilization Survey (CTUS) in China, the paper selects the families with parents aged between 18-54 to estimate the gender differences in children raising time of different educations and the factors influencing the differences by Tobit model. Findings show: firstly, parents have significant gender differences in children raising time, and parenting activities are still the mother’s vocational duty;Secondly, education has a significant positive effect on parental childcare time, i.e. the higher the education, the more time spent on parenting;however educations brings about different effects on parenting child care activities which means the well-educated parents prefer to pay more attention to the human capital investment of their children.
