摘要
西方现代科学所孳乳的英文"electricity"进入中国,从最初传入,到概念完全被接受,是基于"electricity"概念之中的不同属性——"琥珀""雷电"及"无处不在",经过了"琥珀气""电气"等数次译名迁衍及厘定,最终使汉语词"电"完全吸纳了"electricity"的概念。
From its initial introduction to China to its complete acceptance, the English term "electricity", which created as a result of modern western science, is based on the corresponding attributes of "amber" "thunder and lightning" and "happens everywhere", thus whose Chinese translation had undergone such variations as "amber gas" and "electrical gas", etc. This article mainly investigates how the Chinese word "Dian" finally absorbed the concept of the English term "electricity" during the course of changes above.
