摘要
通过网络调查,对中美共20所高校图书馆的274个自建数据库进行查找与浏览,从内容主题、对外开放程度、用户使用情况、用户友好程度四个维度比较中美高校图书馆自建数据库现存差异。调查发现:相较于部分美国高校图书馆,中国高校图书馆在选题均衡性、开放性、使用率、易用性等方面的表现有一定欠缺。基于此,中国高校图书馆可借鉴部分美国高校的突出经验,既应寻求更多元的外部合作,也需重视提升用户使用体验,同时可进一步挖掘高校特色与优势,积极转化已有研究成果。
Through online surveys,274 self-built databases of 20 university libraries in China and the United States were searched and browsed.The existing differences between them are compared from the dimensions of content theme,openness,user usage and user friendliness.The survey found that compared with some American university libraries,the self-built databases of Chinese university libraries have certain shortcomings in terms of topic distribution,openness,usage and ease of use.Based on this,Chinese university libraries can learn from the outstanding experience of some American universities.They should seek more external cooperation and pay attention to the use experience.At the same time,they can further explore the characteristics and advantages of themselves and actively transform existing research results.
