Chang-Suho Garden was the largest public active space in China during the Qi ng dynasty and early Republic of China. It is also the first metropolitan public cultural and commercial space in the history of modern Chinese cultural industries. It reflects the remarkable feature of the "ship-to-home” transition of the modem cultural industries of China in the early Qing dynasty and early Republic of China. It adopts the price system with plain and substantial prices, actively cooperates with all parties through capital market operation, places emphasis on creative cultural products and cultivates new cultural format, even with more advanced operating mechanism. Through the reasonable operation of the Garden, Chang-Suho made it become the fashion center of Shanghai at that time, and obtained considerable economic benefits. Moreover, Chang-Suho Garden actively echoed the spiritual needs of the emerging citizen classes, and through the intervention of cultural industries in the form of lecture space public affairs. Therefore, Chang-Suho Garden plays an important role in the history of Chinese modem cultural industries. However, due to lack of business management system and the historical limitations of Chang-Suho, the garden was extremely deteriorated and finally annihilated in history.
