摘要
世界上最大的童书出版机构Scholastic与国际专业咨询机构YouGov合作发布了多版《儿童及家庭阅读报告》,本文基于2015-2017年间英国、印度、澳大利亚、加拿大、美国报告,主要从儿童及家庭阅读态度、行为、偏好、鼓励阅读的策略4个方面分析了各国儿童及家庭阅读概况,并总结了各国大声朗读、在校阅读、暑期阅读的特点,对我国图书馆推广及促进儿童及家庭阅读的启示是:提升儿童与家长阅读意识、提供从出生时开始的早期阅读指引、培养和尊重儿童阅读兴趣、引进并丰富"暑期阅读"、善用数字阅读产品。
Scholastic, the world’s largest publisher of children’s books, published the KIDS & FAMILY READING REPORT in collaboration with YouGov, an international professional consulting firm. This article is based on reports regarding the United Kingdom, India, Australia, Canada, the United States from year 2015 to 2017, which analyzed the reading status of children and family there in four aspects: reading attitude, behavior, preference, and how to encourage reading. The article also summarizes the characteristics of reading aloud, reading in school and summer reading. The lessons drawn for libraries in China are that libraries should improve children’s and parents’ reading awareness, provide guidelines of reading at birth, develop, and respect children’s interest in reading. Libraries should also introduce and enrich "summer reading" to the children and family. The report reminds libraries of making good use of digital reading products as well.
