摘要
河西一词出现于先秦,春秋战国时期有了较为明确的范围所指。至秦汉时,河西所指范围扩大转移至今河西走廊和湟水流域。魏晋南朝所指的河西范围与汉代相同,北朝所指的河西扩展至以黄河中游之西为主,包含汉代河西所指的三层含义。隋至唐代安史之乱前,河西重回汉代所指范围。此后直至民国,河西所指最终固化为今甘肃河西走廊地区。河西范围的演变,过程复杂且阶段性明显,与黄河形态及流域地形、政治地理变迁、历史文化传承、空间用语更替等密切相关,折射出中国地域概念演进的内在逻辑。
"Hexi" appeared in the Pre-Qin Period with a relatively clear scope. By the time of the Qin-Han Period, the scope of Hexi was expanded to the Gansu Corridor and the Huangshui watershed. Hexi had three meanings during the Northern Dynasty, the most important one referred to "the west of the middle Yellow RiverFrom the Sui Dynasty to the middle Tang Dynasty, the scope of Hexi was same to the Han Dynasty. From then until the Republic of China, Hexi was finally fixed as the Gansu Corridor. The Shift of Hexi is complex with an obvious process, which is closely related to the shape of the Yellow River and the topography of the Yellow River Basin, the change of dynastic political geography, cultural inheritance and the replacement of spatial terms. It reflects the internal logic of naming for Chinese regional.
