摘要
在民族志电影中使用文字,已经成为很多民族志电影制作者信手拈来的习惯。观看伴随或多或少说明性文字或解说词的民族志电影,也已经成为很多观众习以为常的视觉经验。然而,在这种信手拈来的习惯和习以为常的视觉经验背后,隐藏着两个不容忽视的问题:其一,对文字作为民族志电影视觉元素的可能弊端的忽视;其二,对文字表述系统侵入影像叙事系统之后的可能危害视而不见。通过论述民族志电影中文字的反影像叙事性,揭示民族志电影中文字表述方式和影像叙事系统之间暗含的矛盾和冲突,达成对民族志电影和民族志之间差别的进一步认识。
It has become a conventional habit for many ethnographic filmmakers to edit words into ethnographic films. Watching these ethnographic films with more or less descriptive words or commentary has also become a habitual visual experience for the audience. However, two problems are hidden behind this kind of habit and visual experience: one is the neglect of the potential drawbacks of words serving as a visual element in ethnographic films;the other is the ignorance of the possible harm resulting from the intrusion of the textual expression system into the image narrative system. By expounding the anti一image narrative of words in ethnographic films, the ultimate goal of this paper is not only to reveal the contradictions and conflicts between the textual expression method and the image narrative system, but also to further understand the differences between ethnographic films and ethnography.
