Objective To understand the status of self-management behavior of patients after first-time percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI),and to analyze the influencing factors,so as to provide a scientific basis for improving the self-management behavior of patients after the first-time PCI. Methods A convenient sampling method was used to select 160 patients who underwent the PCI for the first time from November 2017 to March 2018 admitted to the department of cardiovascular medicine of a tertiary hospital in Shanxi province. The general data questionnaire and the self-management behavior scale for coronary heart disease were used to investigate the patients. Results The total score of self-management ability of patients was (70.97±13.99) points, and the scoring rate was 52.57%,which was at the middle-lower level. There were statistically significant differences in the scores of self-management behaviors among patients with different ages, education, income, occupation, smoking, alcohol consumption and complicated with hypertension and diabetes (P<0.05). Multiple linear regression analysis showed that age, education, smoking and income levels were independent risk factors for self-management of patients underwent the PCI for the first time (P<0.05). Conclusion After the first-time PCI operation, the self-management behaviors of the patients are below medium level and affected by many factors.
