摘要
冼夫人在岭南地区被尊称为"岭南圣母",以冼夫人精神为核心的信仰已经成为岭南文化的重要组成部分。冼夫人民间信仰经历了从祖先崇拜到祖先崇拜与英雄崇拜相结合,再升格为神灵崇拜的衍变过程。如今,冼夫人信仰在岭南粤西和海南部分地区,体现出显著地域特征和民俗特征,其影响也越来越大,得到了政府和地方组织的重视和引导。
Madam Xian is honored as the“Goddess of Lingnan” in Lingnan area. Madam Xian belief as the core of folk religion is important in Lingnan culture and it has gone from ancestor worship, the worship of ancestor and hero to god worship, which experiences the process of deification from folk worship to religion. Nowadays, as a folk religion, Madam Xian belief is mainly popular in Lingnan, western Guangdong, and parts of Hainan and enjoys much worship of local people. It has significant regional and folk characteristics. Its influence is getting bigger and bigger, and with the emphasis and guidance of the government and local organizations, Madam Xian belief has become the most influential folk religion in Lingnan.
