为什么必须处死艾玛·包法利?——论雅克·朗西埃的文学观

摘要 当代法国著名理论家朗西埃在《艾玛·包法利的处死》一文中对福楼拜的小说进行创造性解读,由此也可管窥出其独特的文学观。福楼拜选择艾玛作为题材,首先反映了二者间的共谋,即将文学与生活拉平。这既是对亚里士多德以来再现诗学等级秩序的反抗,同时也意味着文学摆脱了现代主义范式中独特手法和自治领域的定义,成为"元政治",是一种对地位和身份、言语和噪声、可见物和不可见物的再分配。福楼拜必须将艾玛处死,一方面因为艾玛将神秘感受转化为物质享受是对文学所创造的真实生活的违背,另一方面也是对主体不断将微观事件转化为欲望客体这一"歇斯底里症"的治疗。朗西埃认为,福楼拜将文学和"民主"完全分离会导致文学区别的取消,感性共同体的创造既需要"无知的教师",又需要"被解放的观众"。 Jacques Ranciere,a famous contemporary French theorist,interprets Flaubert's novel creatively in"The Death of Emma Bovary",which can also reveal his unique literary view.Flaubert chooses Emma as the theme,which first reflects the collusion between the literature and life.This not only is a revolt against reappearance of the hierarchical order of poetics since Aristotle,but also means that literature is free from the unique means of modernism paradigm and the definition of autonomy,and becomes"meta-politics",a redistribution of status and identity,speech and noise,visible residue and invisible residue.Flaubert must put Emma to death,on the one hand,because Emma's conversion of mystical feelings into material enjoyment is a violation of the real life created by literature.On the other hand,because it is the treatment of the hysteria that the subject transforms the microcosmic event into the object of desire.Ranciere believes that Flaubert completely separates literature from"democracy"will lead to the elimination of literary distinctions.The creation of perceptual communities requires both"ignorant teachers"and"liberated audiences".
