摘要
托妮·莫里森在其作品中成功塑造了大量在种族、性别双重压迫下艰苦生活的黑人女性形象,旨在展示黑人女性在成长历程中所遭受的精神伤害及其留下的难以愈合的心灵创伤。其长篇小说《最蓝的眼睛》中的金盏花,《爵士乐》中的雪花及《爱》中的浪花等形象所具有的象征意义分别预示着各个主人公的最终宿命,深刻揭示了在强势文化影响下的黑人内心世界的困顿和挣扎,提出保留黑人文化对黑人民族的生存及独立具有重大意义。
Toni Morrison successfully shapes a lot of female characters in her works,who are struggling to live under the double oppression of race and gender,and therefore presents the spiritual trauma the black women suffered and its subsequent psychological influence.There are many flower images in her novels The Bluest Eye,Jazz and Love,which respectively indicates each heroine's destinies,and deeply reveals the mental confusion and disorder imposed by the dominant culture on the black.It can be concluded that the retention of black culture is of great significance to the survival and independence of the black race.
