摘要
赤脚学院是创设于印度贫困农村的NGO组织,其使命是帮助被边缘化的人口摆脱贫困的命运并促进民主的发展。赤脚学院坚持自下而上的问题解决思路,以当地贫困人口的知识和技术作为重要资源,通过做中学的方式达到帮助贫困人口获得知识和技术的目的。经过多年的发展,赤脚学院已经成长为具有世界影响力的组织,其成功的办学经验为我国扶贫工作提供了一定的借鉴价值。
Barefoot College is an NGO organization founded in poor rural India.Its missions are to help marginalized people get rid of poverty and to promote democracy.Barefoot College insists on the bottom-up problem-solving approach,taking the knowledge and technology of the local poor as an important resource to help the poor acquire knowledge and technology through learning by doing.Af- ter years of development,Barefoot College has grown into an influential organization in the world,and its successful experience has pro- vided certain reference value for China's poverty alleviation work.
