Objective To investigate the effect of early use of vitamin D supplementation on 25-(OH)D,IgG,IgM,complement C3 and complement C4 in preterm infants. Methods Forty cases of preterm infants admitted to our hospital from Jan 2016 to October 2017 were selected for the study and randomly divided into observation group and control group. The control group was fed with formula and the observation group was given vitamin D(500U/d)in addition of the control group 3 days after birth for 7 days. The levels of 25-(OH)D,IgG,IgM,complement C3,and complement C4 in preterm infants were measured and statistically analyzed. Results There was no significant difference in each index of preterm infants between the two groups on the third day(P>0.05).On the 10th day,the increase of 25-(OH)D in the preterm infants for the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05),while there was no significant difference between the two groups for IgG and IgM(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in C3 and C4 between the two groups on the third day(P>0.05).After 10 days, for the observation group,Complement C3,complement C4 levels were significantly higher than the control group,(P<0.05).Conclusion Early use of vitamin D supplementation is of great importance for preterm infants, which can improve the level of 25-(OH)D and immunity in preterm infants. So it is worth of clinical promotion.
