莎士比亚是英国文艺复兴时期伟大的戏剧家和文学巨匠,《威尼斯商人》是他的代表性的作品之一。这部戏剧讲述了安东尼奥向犹太富商夏洛克借款以帮助朋友巴萨尼奥向鲍西亚小姐求婚,但在借贷合约中有这样一项规定,如果安东尼奥不能按时归还,他将被夏洛克割走一磅肉。最后安东尼奥因生意失败,无法按期偿还贷款,夏洛克在法庭上坚持要履行合约。最后,安东尼奥在聪明的鲍西亚的帮助下获得了官司的胜利。本文将对《威尼斯商人》从法律的视角展开解读。
Shakespeare was one of the great dramatists of the British Renaissance,the world's greatest literary man and literary master,and one of his representative works,The Merchant of Venice.The play tells the story of Antonio,who borrowed money from a wealthy Jewish businessman to help his friend bassanio propose to miss bosia,and the contract states that if Antonio does not return it on time,he will be cut off a pound of flesh by Shylock.In the end,Antonio was unable to return due to business failure.Shylock insisted on fulfilling the contract in court.Finally,Antonio won the lawsuit with the wisdom of Portia.This article will interpret the Venice merchant from the perspective of law.
