摘要
鉴于启蒙与现代性相伴生的关系,由现代文明种种弊病激发的对现代性的批判反思部分地转变为对启蒙的批判反思,反启蒙遂成为显学,更有甚者以反启蒙之名否定人类社会自启蒙以来形成的文明成果。因此,亟需正确地看待反启蒙的内涵及历史地位。本文首先厘清了两种不同的反启蒙,即反对一般意义上的启蒙——完全否定启蒙的原则,以及反对某个具体的启蒙——用启蒙的原则来反思批评启蒙的进程。明确反启蒙绝不是简单的全盘否定启蒙,反启蒙与启蒙也绝非完全对立的关系。在此基础上着重论述后一种反启蒙与启蒙之间的辩证关系,即启蒙内在地需要反启蒙,反启蒙是为了更好的启蒙。在这样一个启蒙着的时代,面对新的历史情境,既要反对将反启蒙与启蒙对立起来的二元论,也要警惕将反启蒙归化为启蒙的一元论倾向。
Due to the close association between enlightenment and modernity,criticism on modernity aroused by problems of modern civilization has partly transferred to criticism on enlightenment.Thus,counter-enlightenment has become a hot topic.Furthermore,some achievements of modern civilization derived from enlightenment might be denied in the name of counter-enlightenment.Therefore,it’s imperative to reasonably conduct the connotation and the historical status of counter-enlightenment.This article,first of all,makes it clear that there are two types of counter-enlightenment:opposing to enlightenment at general sense(that is completely denying the principles of enlightenment)and opposing to enlightenment at specific sense(that is criticizing certain specific practices of enlightenment according to its own principles).Meanwhile,it is clarified that counter-enlightenment is not denying enlightenment at all,and there is no binary opposition between counter-enlightenment and enlightenment.Then an analysis is put to the dialectic relation between counter-enlightenment and enlightenment.That is enlightenment requires counter-enlightenment intrinsically,and counter-enlightenment is to carry forward enlightenment better.In such an era under enlightenment,the current new social situation is against dualism of holding a binary opposition between counter-enlightenment and enlightenment,and as well requires constant vigilance on monism of converging counter-enlightenment into enlightenment.
