摘要
古文字学家容庚旧藏著名历史学家、古文字学家徐中舒教授遗札13通,内容涉及徐中舒在上世纪30年代的一些重要学术活动。容庚、徐中舒等曾共同组建了20世纪30年代中国重要的学术团体"考古学社",在考古学特别是古器物学研究领域产生了很大的学术影响。由徐中舒经手,为原中央博物院购买了著名的"殷代二玺",不仅具有印学史上的意义,对于研究从商代到战国社会组织与社会结构的变迁也具有重要的参考价值。1936年徐中舒经手为原中央博物院购买了著名收藏家刘体智善斋所藏的一批青铜器,围绕器物的选择,反映了傅斯年、徐中舒等人的学术眼光与旨趣。
Rong Geng,the Chinese philologist,had collected 13 letters of Xu Zhongshu,the famous historian and philologist,which had recorded some of Xu s important academic activities in the 1930s.Rong and Xu had jointly established the Archaeology Society,which had significant influence on archaeological studies in China.Once on behalf of the Central Museum,Xu had bought two imperial seals of the Yin period,which can still be used in studying the evolution of the social structures from Yin to the Warring States period.In 1936,Xu again bought the Central Museumsome bronze ware collected by Liu Tizhi.The selection of these bronze ware reflected the academic interest of Fu Sinian,the Museum curator,and Xu himself.
