摘要
张之洞是晚清"中体西用"思想的集大成者,他顺应"经世实学"复兴的思潮试图用"中体西用"来挽清朝之大厦于将倾。他在《劝学篇》中描绘了这个运用"中体西用"思想指导帝国复苏的宏伟蓝图。在这个蓝图中,他把"中体西用"思想注入传统教育的创新思维尤其引人注目。在他对留学、改革学制、变科举以及引进西学的规划中凸显了他"中体西用"教育观的光辉。
Chang Chih-Tung was an authoritative scholar who epitomized“Chinese-Style Westernization”in the late Qing Dynasty.He adapted to the“practical study of the world”trend of thought,trying to save the dying Qing Dynasty by“Chinese-Style Westernization”.In his Encouraging Learning,he described grand blueprint of using“Chinese-Style Westernization”to help the Qing Dynasty revive.What was particularly noticeable in this blueprint was his innovating thinking of injecting“Chinese-Style Westernization”into the traditional educational ideology.His unique ideas were revealed in his plans for studying abroad,reforming the educational system,changing the imperial examinations and introducing western knowledge.
