The word"ShouShi"was originated in Qin and Han Dynasty and began to be officially used in Tang Dynasty,which played an important role in the generation and management of the household registration archives in Tang Dynasty."ShouShi"in Tang Dynasty was mainly used to record the preliminary statistics of people's household registration information,and belonged to the collection stage in the process of archival formation.It played a vital role in recording the basic situation of the Tang population,and also served as the important credentials for the Tang government to collect taxes.
