摘要
当代艺术主要由观念驱动,而驱动当代艺术的观念如身体、时间、场所等又是较终极的范畴。本文参照西方思想史的时间观念,分析视觉艺术的不同时间表达及其基本模式。西方视觉艺术史上的古典艺术较忽视时间表达,文艺复兴重启的世俗化进程使视觉艺术对时间有了更多思考。视觉艺术经历了从静态形式的艺术以象征方式表现时间,到动态形式的艺术赋予时间具体形式的历程。其呈现时间的模式从静态艺术"最富于孕育性的顷刻",到直接表现运动和速度的多样尝试,继而是宽泛的动态艺术多种赋予时间具体形式的方式。这一过程貌似与柏拉图-基督教式线性时间观吻合,但细查相关模式及相应时间观念,过程中的曲折对当下艺术创造和文化建设更具启示价值。
The contemporary art is driven mainly by ideas which are ultimate categories such as body, time and place.The paper refers to the concept of time in the history of western thought to analyse different time expressions of visual arts and their basic patterns. The classical art in the history of western visual art neglects the time expression, but the secularization that was restarted by the Renaissance leading to more thinking of visual art. Visual art has experienced the process of representing time from symbolic ways of the static form, to the dynamic form of art giving a concrete form to time. The modes of presenting time developed from "the most fertile moment " of static art to the diverse attempts to express movement and speed directly, followed by a wide variety of dynamic art styles that give time specific forms. It seems that the process is consistent with the Platonic-Christian linear time concept, but after the scrutiny of the relevant models and the corresponding concepts of time, there is more enlightenment of art creation and cultural construction when it comes to the current of the progress.
