摘要
作为柏拉图的一部小作品,《欧蒂德谟》内涵丰富,蕴含着理解作者的关键。柏拉图在对话中记叙了苏格拉底与克力同的谈话,在这场谈话中,苏格拉底为克力同转述了他与欧蒂德谟兄弟及两位少年的对话。本文尝试解读《欧蒂德谟》275d-276e部分,展示昨日对话中欧蒂德谟兄弟对智术师修辞的运用。在智术师修辞的强大威力面前,克莱尼阿斯无可回避,难以抵挡,对话中唯有苏格拉底能够与之抗衡。智术师修辞让哲人的登场具有必要性。
Usually seen as a minor w-ork of Plato,Euthydemus in fact is a comprehensive dialogue.The dialogue records the conversation between Socrates and Crito,in which Socrates retells his previous dialogues with the brothers Euthydemus and other two youths.This paper tries to interpret the passage 275d to 276e in Euthydemus,and display the exertion of the Sophistic Rhetoric by the brothers Euthydemus.The pow-erful Sophistic Rhetoric corners Cleinias,and Socrates is the only one who can compete with it.The Philosopher is the necessary counter to the Sophist.
