摘要
被誉为"世界平民教育之父"的晏阳初,自耶鲁大学毕业后一直致力于将平民教育的思想和实践服务于发展中国家的乡村贫民。在长达70余年的职业生涯中,晏阳初所选择的职业不仅使自我价值得到充分实现,而且给世界文明带来福祉。当前我国大学生就业形势十分严峻,大学生对职业的选择有诸多困惑。晏阳初对职业的选择、态度和实践可为当代大学生的职业选择提供一种思路,这就是要有明晰的职业目标,确立能促进社会发展的职业价值观,保持职业生涯的连续性,脚踏实地地从基层做起,如有可能的话,与时俱进,顺势而为,开拓出一个新的职业。
Known as "father of the world civilian education", Yan Yangchu, after graduation from Yale University, was committed to serving the rural poor in developing countries with his civilian education ideas and practice. In his 70 years of career, Yan's choice not only fully realized his self-values, but also brought benefits to the world civilization. Today's college students are quite confused in their choice of occupations in face of the severe employment situation. Yan s occupational choice, attitude, and practice may be an ex,ample for the them : having a clear occupational objective; establishing an occupation value that promotes the social development;maintaining career's continuity; starting from the bottom without aiming too high; and when possible, initiating a new occupation that keeps abreast with the times.
