基于级联MZM与SOA产生多载波的ROF系统

摘要 理论并模拟仿真研究了基于级联马赫-曾德尔调制器与半导体光放大器生成的多载波光纤无线通信(ROF)系统.通过设置马赫-曾德尔调制器的偏置电压实现载波抑制,得到了奇数阶边带,再经过半导体光放大器(SOA)的非线性作用得到一定数量的载波.通过对马赫-曾德尔调制器参数的理论分析与模拟验证,增加由载波抑制得到的平坦载波的数量,进而在多载波系统中进一步增加由四波混频得到的载波数量.本文实现了70Gb/s的DMT(discrete multitones)信号的传输,并且验证了随着载波数量的增加,星座图旋转改善,系统性能得到提高,此结果表明,本方案仅采用两个器件级联的方法就可产生多个载波,不需要级联滤波器,并且随着载波数量的增加,使数据信号在光纤中的更高质量的传输,并且系统具有结构简单,易于实现,成本低等特点. Radio-Over-Fiber(ROF)system based on m ulti-carrier which generated by cascading Mach-Zehnder modulator and semiconductor optical amplifier is theoretically analyzed and simulated.This method achieves carrier suppression and obtains odd-side band by setting the bias voltage of the Mach-Zehnder modulator,then through the semiconductor optical amplifier(SOA)non-linear effect gets a certain number of carriers.Based on the theoretical analysis and simulation of the Mach-Zehnder modulator parameters,the number of flat multi-carriers obtained by carrier suppression is increased,and the generation of m ulti-carrier can be improved.We realize the transmission of this system with the70Gb/s DMT(discrete multi-tones)signal and validate that the constellation map rotation make better and the system performance is improved as the number of carriers increases.The results show that this scheme can produce multi-carriers,in the mean time no cascading filters are required,and can achieve high-quality data transmission in the optical fiber by increasing of the number of carriers.This system is featured with having simple structure,easy realization and low cost.
