摘要
学界对《宁波方言的字音》(〈The Ningpo Syllabary〉)的研究存在诸多争议,(1)主要症结是在对符号与音位关系的认识上往往界限不明,造成对文献语音的考证不够充分,导致结论与文献实际出现偏差。应该把文献的记音符号研究划分为两个层次:第一个层次是对符号本身的研究,从符号组织规律、语音性质等入手,明确符号的语音指向;第二个层次是在前一个步骤的基础上,进入拟音阶段,开展符号系统的音位研究。符号与音位区分的思路有助于解决有关争议问题。
Many disagreements exist about the study of The Ningpo Syllabary for the ambiguous boundary of alphabets and it’s phonetic essence spelled for Chinese lead to insufficiency textual research and wrong conclusion on the dialect phonetic system recorded in the book.To solve the problems,we should make a distinction between the alphabet symbol and it’s phoneme on two aspects:first,the study of the symbols themselves with focus on the organization and phonetics;second,research into phonological system on the base of former stage.
