The article explored the relationship between descriptive information and default behaviors from two dimensions as the amount oflanguage information and the content of language. The empirical results show that, the larger the information amount is in descriptiveinformation, the default behaviors are rare to happen. In addition, borrowers, who make promises or talk about their incomes or families, aremore probably to repay on time;borrowers who purport to be in good faith and mention the good credit history to support the integrity image aremore likely to default. The discoveries could help lenders better identify risks when making decisions and the article could also make a positivecontribution to the current research results.
