Objective This paper aim to study the application value of high-frequency color Doppler ultrasound to diagnose calf muscular venous thrombosis. Methods The sonographic features of46patients with53CMVT were analyzed retrospectively and compared with the outcome of clinical followup.Results41cases with47CMVT were diagnosed by high-frequency color Doppler ultrasound and5cases with6CMVT were missed diagnosis, the accuracy rate was89%.All patients prescribed thrombolysis and anticoagulation therapy, after treatments,high-frequency color Doppler ultrasound for0.5,3,6months revealed partial or complete recanalization. The two-dimension sonographic features showed that the diameter of calf muscular vein irregularly broadening, the walls of vein thickened, the vein displayed no smooth intima with long strip shape in the longitudinal view and the round shape in the transversal view, and the lumen was filled with the not homogeneous low echo or no echo, pathological changes of color Doppler flow imaging:in the lumen, and no obvious blood flow signal. Conclusion Because highfrequency color Doppler ultrasound could clearly be showed the position of thrombus, the degree of obstruction, the blood flow, and the therapeutic effect,so it is the first choice in the diagnosis of the calf muscular venous thrombosis.
