Objective To observe influence by continuous nursing on blood pressure level and treatment compliance in senile hypertension patients. Methods A total of 86 senile hypertension patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 43 cases in each group. The control group received conventional nursing, and the observation group received additional continuous nursing intervention to conventional nursing in the control group. Comparison was made on blood pressure level, treatment compliance and nursing satisfaction between the two groups. Results After nursing for 6 months, the observation group had obviously lower systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure than the control group, and the difference had statistical significance (P<0.05). The observation group had much higher compliance in regular medication,self-monitoring on blood pressure, scientific dieting, rational exercise and regular reexamination than the control group, and their difference had statistical significance (P<0.05). The observation group had much higher nursing satisfaction score as (92.03±3.49) points than (79.81±2.16) points in the control group, and the difference had statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusion Implement of continuous nursing shows excellent effect in senile hypertension. This method can effectively control blood pressure level in senile patients, and improve their treatment compliance and satisfaction.
