摘要
西方哥特小说历史悠久,并逐渐积聚出黑色恐怖的场景、离奇诡异的情节、惊悚怪诞的人物、紧张陌生的叙述方式这四点哥特元素。哥特小说中的人物从外貌到性格常常是丑陋、惊悚、暴戾、黑暗的,而《坟场之书》中的人物形象神秘和微恐怖的色彩仅仅是显现在扑朔迷离的外壳中,其内部却释放着温暖与爱的能量。《坟场之书》对哥特元素的颠覆主要体现在人物形象和叙述方式上。
Western Gothic novels have a long history and gradually accumulate four Gothic elements:black horror scene,strangeplot,grotesque figures and tense strange narrative way.Neil Gaiman’s fantasy novel The Book of the Graveyard inherits and subvertsGothic elements.It does not only make the Gothic elements full of new vitality but also provides a new paradigm for the creation ofchildren’s literature.
