In 2009,China produced around 10.7 million tons of ethylene.Ethylene and propylene monomers as well as their derivativesare still short of supply in China. Coal-to-olefins (CTO)is thought as very competitive and has huge opportunities.By the end of 2010,three world scale CTO projects (ShenhuaGroup Corporation Limited in Baotou,China Datang Corporationin Duolun and Shenhua Ningxia Coal Group)
