摘要
分析了关于高校系资料室撤并与否的几种典型观点,论述了系资料室与校图书馆的职能区别,认为资料室作为图书馆的补充和延伸不能裁撤,但也不是要扩大,系资料室应强化其情报职能,把工作重心从文献收藏和借阅服务转移到网络情报服务上来。
<Abstrcat>This paper analyzed several typical standpoints about faculty library's cancelling or combination.It expounds the difference in function between faculty library and college library,and puts forward the idea that faculty libraries can be neither cancelled,nor expanded.Faculty library must transfer its focus from collection and reading to providing the information service on the Internet.
